Discover the special ingredients of our GEZOFLEX endurance EPDM granules

High-quality and stable cross-linking is essential for the resilience of GEZOFLEX endurance. Therefore, only high-quality sulphur is used for the UV-stable EPDM granules, which guarantees perfect linking of the individual hydrocarbon chains of the EPDM.
Paraffinic oil serves as a processing aid and for regulating the hardness of the finished granules. For the GEZOFLEX endurance, only a premium oil is used that supports its UV stability and does not allow any compromises to be made in terms of other technical properties.
EPDM is also the basic raw material for GEZOFLEX endurance, which holds everything together as a matrix material. To support the outstanding UV stability of GEZOFLEX endurance, only the best quality EPDM with a very strict specification is used.
The inorganic natural filler calcium carbonate (commonly known as chalk) affects among others the haptic experience of the finished EPDM granules and ensures optimal adhesion of the polyurethane binder and enhances the weight and volume properties of the granules. With regard to UV resistance, only calcium carbonate is used for GEZOFLEX endurance, which meets particularly strict specifications.
By adding color pigments and color master batches a fully dyeing of EPDM granules is achieved. For GEZOFLEX endurance, the selection of the best color pigments is also a decisive factor that contributes to its outstanding UV and color stability.
GEZOFLEX endurance uses only the best UV stabilizers and carefully selected, high-quality additives. This ensures that the EPDM granules achieve outstanding results in terms of UV resistance.

The new benchmark for UV resistance and color stability!

Well, with our GEZOFLEX, we are already the benchmark for color fastness and UV resistance in EPDM granules!

We could have rested on that! But we didn‘t!

We took up the challenge!

With GEZOFLEX endurance...

... we make good things even better!

... we are evolving the field of EPDM granules!

... we are setting completely new benchmarks!

A color stability that you have never seen before in EPDM granules!

GEZOFLEX endurance was developed with the goal of ensuring exceptionally high resistance to UV radiation. Based on the standard formulation of the proven GEZOFLEX EPDM rubber granule, every single raw material was scrutinized down to the last detail during the development process lasting several years. As the result, GEZOFLEX endurance not only uses outstanding UV stabilizers, but also carefully selected, high-quality additives with very tight specifications.

The result is an EPDM granule for sports and leisure flooring with exceptionally long-lasting color stability and unprecedented values on the gray scale! GEZOFLEX endurance far exceeds the value of ≥ 3 on the gray scale after the UVA exposure of 4,896 kJ - 2550 h required by the standard! But that‘s not all! Even with an exposure duration almost twice as long (9,600 kJ - 5000 h), GEZOFLEX endurance still easily fulfills the requirements beyond the level required by the standard!

Typical fields of application

Wide range of applications - particularly suitable for projects with high UV exposure

Like other EPDM granules for sport and leisure flooring, GEZOFLEX endurance can be processed with one- or two-component polyurethane binders or coating. Thanks to its enhanced stability against UV radiation, GEZOFLEX endurance is particularly suitable as a top layer for projects expected to face high levels of UV exposure.

GEZOFLEX endurance does not differ from conventional EPDM granules in terms of application diversity and processing options! It is just as variable and convenient to use as all other GEZOFLEX EPDM granules for all known application. Typical areas of applications include athletic tracks, multipurpose sports surfaces, fall protection flooring, prefabricated slabs and rolled goods for various flooring systems. GEZOFLEX endurance is perfectly suited for the following processing methods:

In situ

Perfect for on site installation of seamless, elastic floor coverings.

Rolled goods

For prefabricated floor coverings that can be rolled out quickly and easily.

Slabs and molded parts

For practical flooring solutions and individual design elements.
